 Who am I
« Thread Started on Mar 3, 2007, 3:51pm »

This thread is about who our chars are:

Piners birth:

It was a very cold night in the middle of winter. The stars have been very shiney as there was no moon to be seen and there was no cloud.

The days before it did snow like blankets and everything on earth was deeply covered with snow.

Everything except a very thin old man who was walking through the snow. You can see him walk to the right and walk to the left like he was looking for something.

In a low voice he grumbles those words over and over again: "I am Kala. I am KALA. So send me what you have for me and let me get back in."

All of a sudden a very bright light did blind Kala so he had to close his eyes. When he reopened them the light was gone and a very mysterious green light floated all over heaven. There seemed red beams to shoot out of the green light too. All of a sudden that light vanished and is was so dark, Kala could not see the hand before his hands. he stumbled and fell on the ground - then he did here a low groan. He did not dare to look up.

After a while he did hear a fizzling sound and when Kala did look up the heaven was clear again and the pale light from stars did enlight the environment. He looked around and fast saw the baby lieing naked on the ground and enjoying the cold temperatures. Kala took the baby and brought it home. He named the boy Piner.

Piners youth:

Kala was a strange Dad. Soon Piner learned he was a great Shaman. He was at least half of the time in "the other world", the world of the ghosts. But he seemed not to know what to do with a child. So Piner grew up very inclined to himself. He had no real friends and was always searching something, not knowing what. Early he did also enter the shaman world. He was very good in mixing healing potions even as a child. But when Piner was 18, Kala died and Piner begun to wander around.

Joining the guild

One time he entered a village where people did talk about a famous dragon. Piner didn't hear from that dragon earlier but instantly knew it was that dragon he did search all his life. He went in the other world and asked there where to look for the dragon. None of his helpers did tell him until Piner did hear a sizzling sound and although he didn't hear or see anything else he knew all of a sudden he has to follow the Dragons code as the nobles of the Dark Dragons guild did live it. Only by entering that honorable guild he could find what he always searched - the famous Dark Dragon.

He had a long way to go until he found a noble of that guild. Adramelech (which was the name of the nobleman of the guild) did help develop Piner his fighting skills and finally helped him join the guild. But soon enough his passion for mixing potions took over again and Piner decided to start a potting career.

The present days

A lot happened in the Dark Dragons guild, but one thing always was the same: The guild always followed the honorable codex his ancestors gave it and Piner did search again and again for the Dragon he has to find. He is still looking to meet it.

Birth

I was born in a dwarven town, built inside a cave under high and cold mountains. Most of the inhabitants were miners or craftmen, though my father, Murt Kurgan, and his two brothers, Thorgal and Ghalaf, were warriors. The Kurgan brothers had been great heroes amongst dwarves, in their time. They fought hordes of orcs, looked for holy relics ; Ghalaf became a high ranked priest, able of casting powerful spells ; Thorgal became a highly skilled strategist, able of leading balistic teams ; Murt kept on fighting the most evil and strongest creatures, such as dragons and demons.

Youth

When I was very young, my father and uncles used to bring me to the famous Beer Festival of a town close to ours. One year, while we were off, orcs invaded our town and killed everyone, including my mother. From then, I followed my father and uncles in their war against orcs to avenge our dead relatives. I learned how to fight, I also used to take care of armors and weapons, and since I was the only one who could read and write, I wrote our diary and drew maps of the places we visited.
Time had past. The three brothers had to accomplish some holy task. I don't know what exactly, just that they had to go to a far and dangerous place. I had to live my life by myself.

Joining the guild

After my father and uncles left, I prefered staying alone. But a time came when I felt I could be useful to a guild. I started gathering information about the guilds I met. I even got proposals from two guilds, but they only judged me on my fighting skills, so I declined.
In that time, I used to fight lots of goblins, and my favourite home was around Judith, in Morcraven Marsh. From there I could easily go to Naralik and fight the green creatures.
One day, while I was resting near Judith, I noticed that someone got killed. Adramelech was the name I heard. I decided to give his lost stuff back, so I sat on his bag. Then another guy, DragonSlayer, told me he was Adramelech's friend, so I could give him the bag. Doubtful, I asked Adramelech if he knew that man, and actually he did, so I gave the bag to DragonSlayer. A bit later, I saw Adramelech dying again in the silver cave. A girl I had seen talking to DragonSlayer saved the bag, and I told him so. We joked about Adramelech being unlucky that day.
Finally, a few hours later, DragonSlayer invited me in his guild, the Dark Dragons, for being an honorable person. That touched me, and I accepted the invitation.
I met other members, and particularly Kylara, the third leader with DragonSlayer and Adramelech, who was a good manufacturer, and taught me some tricks.
I decided to help the guild, by listing the members and their skills, by drawing maps on which we could write locations of useful resources, by compiling all the known recipes of manufacturing, alchemy, potion, crafting and summoning.

The present days

I quickly gained a high rank in the guild, and when DragonSlayer decided to abdicate from leadership, I became the third leader with Adramelech and Piner, the new guild master.
I am now the highest skilled manufacturer of the Dark Dragons, but I need to keep on training, since new recipes are discovered constantly, requiring more and more skill.
